008 - Producing "Local Heroes"

|

Anthony talks with Keith about how he creates the Local Heroes comic and website.

During the discussion, Keith talks about why the early Local Heroes strips were pencils without inks, choosing the right visuals style for your comic, and his signature storytelling style of three strips becoming one comic page.

Later in the chat, Keith talks about the importance of navigable archives for webcomics, especially for ones that are based on long-form stories. This importance extends to new readers, returning readers, and even search engines. The site at www.localheroes.us includes news posts for every comic, category tags for each comic, storyline descriptions in the archive indexes, and "The Story So Far" blurbs.
